It kind of depends. We have a lot of the less important pieces but we are still missing the high end D pieces and Smith while fun we aren’t sure if he will be a 1C yet. I’d say a few years at least because the only way you can get those pieces is top of the draft. Hopefully we can pick up at least one of those this draft with our 2.5 1sts (ones conditional and man those conditions don’t look like they are going to hit)

I anticipate four to five years before we reach the playoffs again.

Ok ok. So then Zetterlund could definitely be traded but it would most likely take a 1st+ (as mentioned in the thread) or possibly a prospect who has the potential to be one of those missing pieces. Thanks for the replies.

How long are fans expecting the rebuild to last?

Some seem to think rebuilds take like a decade but in this day and age it wouldn’t be shocking to see SJ back in the playoffs by 2025-26.
