New team new system it's not automatic. As a winger defenisvely his details are great. Always finishes his check on the d while getting in the lane. His down low play defensively needs work but he is playing with all new players. I don't agree that his awareness isn't good enough.
You've come to this conclusion this quickly?... he has played what 3 or 4 games away from the 4th line. Two of which he had 5 shots. I think you need more patience. To me he’s a project, I don’t think we’ll know what we have for another 2 seasons - and that’s not an insult to him I see him as a late bloomer who has a ton to learn and with the new culture in Ottawa they will coach him up and he’ll eventually find a roll that suits him on the team.
To me right now he is a 4th liner some night and a top 6 other nights depending on the matchups and opponents style. He’s still far from being an every night top 6 on a winning team
? A big problem? I'm not sure I'd call it a problem, let alone a big one. Next year, depending on what happens personnel wise, it could become an issue. But they're middle of the pack this year after learning to play defense.Looks solid, just can't finish, like most of the team.
I wonder what kind of moves/coaching strategy change we need to make to help that because it is a big problem!
The chemistry is there tho. He’s just not scoringHow many games has he played with Tim?
I think it's 3.
That wouldn't be enough to establish 100% chemistry.
So, I think, the question is: How many more games do they wait before putting Brady back with Tim again?
I agree, patience is needed. I also agree with the assessment thus far. Seems like a poor man's debrincat. Stronger on the puck but no snipes yet. You've come to this conclusion this quickly?... he has played what 3 or 4 games away from the 4th line. Two of which he had 5 shots. He is faster and competes way harder. Not as skilled though. He also makes 1.6 million not 8.I agree, patience is needed. I also agree with the assessment thus far. Seems like a poor man's debrincat. Stronger on the puck but no snipes yet.
Theres no way they would have traded Quinn for that.Would y'all rather have Zetterlund or Quinn, assuming the Sabres were willing to give us Quinn instead of the 2nd (Probably not, they most likely would have asked for Greig)?
Quinn has a lot more potential, but not sure if he'd fit the type of roster Staios wants to build. Quinn isn't as physical as Zetterlund and that might affect how they want the lines to play, Quinn would score a shit ton of goals though on Stu's linesWould y'all rather have Zetterlund or Quinn, assuming the Sabres were willing to give us Quinn instead of the 2nd (Probably not, they most likely would have asked for Greig)?
I’d say zero chance, Quinn is traded for a second.Would y'all rather have Zetterlund or Quinn, assuming the Sabres were willing to give us Quinn instead of the 2nd (Probably not, they most likely would have asked for Greig)?
Why would Buffalo trade Quinn for Zetterlund?Would y'all rather have Zetterlund or Quinn, assuming the Sabres were willing to give us Quinn instead of the 2nd (Probably not, they most likely would have asked for Greig)?
Quinn no way we get him for a 2ndWould y'all rather have Zetterlund or Quinn, assuming the Sabres were willing to give us Quinn instead of the 2nd (Probably not, they most likely would have asked for Greig)?
I said poor. Didn't say how poor.He is faster and competes way harder. Not as skilled though. He also makes 1.6 million not 8.
he had a better game last night...great is pushing itThought he was great last night
To some extent, yes.The chemistry is there tho. He’s just not scoring
