Give him time to cook in the NHL and fully break out of his prospect cocoon. His biggest thing he needs to work on is the will to battle for the puck. The more games he plays, the more comfortable he looks. IMO the skill to be an NHL'er is there. Exciting player to watch skate with the puck. This is probably the most important summer of Lysell's career to date.

he got a taste, his confidence got boosted, balls in his court now...stellar AHL playoff combined with a good fall camp with the big club will likely get him 3rd line duties. We need a rotation of cheap effective ELC, he's making a case.

i thought he played well overall. we desperately need his skill set in the lineup. he plays a modern style game. i'm rooting hard for this kid.

No 4th line that would be stupid, if that is what they think of him, then move him.

With Minten probably but Potsy and Locmelis got a real love bromance thing going on, can’t break those boys up.

The middle 6 is bloated, but never a bad thing to have extra assets

Bruins could of used his speed this year. One of the best players on the team at carrying the puck through the neutral zone and pushing back opposing defenders.

for sure. he also can play todays rush game inside the offensive blue line. he's fun to watch

I don't see any Ryan Spooner in him at all. Lysell is the better skater, sturdier on his skates. Fabian is a natural winger, Spooner never seemed to accept and embrace that he was better suited to the wing than center at the NHL level.

Yea not me, Spooner never demonstrated the dogged puck pursuit Lysell has through his whole career. In fact one of his question marks was getting tunnel vision on plays and not seeing the whole ice, when he first came up he did too many fly bys instead of what made him successful, when he got comfortable and started playing to his natural tenor that’s when he started to put up points

I was thinking Zacha - Poitras - Lysell as 3rd line and X - Minten - Kastelic as 4th line.

Give me Zacha - Minten - Lysell as a third line. This improves the defense responsibilty of the line drastically. Right now I don´t see the place where Poitras can fit in the lineup if the Bruins want to be a playoff team.

Spooner was credited with 86 takeaways in 253 games, which isn't really bad at all.

Spooner did that cute 10-2 move but fundamentally I think Lysell is a better skater. Looks more balanced with a wider stance and in a straight line he's at the very least equal to Spooner.
