Absolute shocker lol. My cousin and cousins husband are coming over to watch the race tomorrow, so that’ll be fun. Hoping not-Max wins the sprint today and someone else out qualifies him to at least make him work A LITTLE.

So anecdotally the fastest lap was Lando Norris during the second qualifying period. Apparently the McLaren had some changes to the car’s aerodynamics which changed airflow over the tires and the soft tires did not heat up enough for the third period or Norris probably would have gotten the pole. Hopefully he can at least make it interesting on Sunday.

I’m not sure I’d start with the Sprint and then do the qualifying. I’d probably switch that order. If someone crashes in the sprint you have a big risk of not being able to qualify even if the damage is cosmetic and could be repaired overnight

Maybe if we are lucky there will be a nice surprise like Verstappen winning easily and the Ferraris fighting with Perez for the other two spots on the podium. That would be riveting.

As a guy who rides a bicycle virtually every day I have no idea how those guys can ride this skinny tire bikes on some of those roads without falling
