He's not even a lock to go in the 1st round, let alone top 12.

Bob's list has him at 43.
I think it's more likely he goes top 20 then 21-40.

I could see someone reaching in the teens or higher.

Especially with not as much high end forward depth in this draft in comparison to D

Like others said, Stiga is almost opposite of Samoskevich who was more of a ceiling pick. Samoskevich had/has the skating and puck skills to break a game open. Stiga's skillset in isolation doesn't excite you all that much, but more his hockey sense and ability to mesh with higher end players / fit into an effective line.

We'll see about top 20 or even 30. Personally I like the 5 big name forwards from the USHL better, but I do like Stiga too.

I'm big on finding players I believe could become play drivers, especially early on. As such, I wouldn't be that excited to get him in the first 75 picks. I don't think he's a bad prospect or anything, and I'll undoubtedly have players on my list that will not pan out ahead of him (that's the nature of this, not everyone makes it)...but this feels more like Patrick Moynihan than Mackie Samoskevich to me.

Rooting for him though, he's a nice kid, charismatic...well liked in the room from what I've been told...

I see him going late 1st (26-32) and I doubt later. He is more dynamic than people here are giving him credit for. If he was 6:00, he would go at 15th pick. So his 5:10 frame will drop him roughly a bit more than half a round. If he falls to #43 there are lots of people not doing their job.

His absolute max looks like Jesper Bratt and if he doesn't improve enough he will
end up in Europe.

This is a play that I think is representative of Stiga's game. Handled a heavy pass well enough to maintain possession, makes the right pass to split two defenders and create a great chance, and then chases the loose puck down to bring it home. And all of that while BC is a man down. There isn't anything here that showcases elite skill or athleticism, but he has an extremely high motor and just manages to find a way to work with whatever is available to him on every shift.

When a player takes a jump their draft year, especially when they're playing with someone like Hagens, I always take a bit of a wait and see approach on how they do at the next jump in competition. I couldn't be more impressed with Stiga at BC this year

Last year he became a big time energy and puck hound type players, causing turnovers and putting pressure on other teams. I worried about his skating on whether that'd translate to the next level. Well, his skating keeps getting better and pretty much from the get go, he's been a jolt of energy to BC. He doesn't just have energy and quickness, he has a speed gear I just didn't think he had in his bag, his edge work is really good. The BC lines have been a bit all over the place but he's settled in with Jellvik and Gasseau on BC's second line the past couple of games. He had a shift in the second period against Western Michigan I was so impressed by where he essentially had a 1 man break out, then when Western was breaking it back out of their end, he closed on the breakout from across the ice to disrupt it and eventually came back down the ice with the puck and had his own scoring chance. It was such a good shift, he was all over the ice and making the correct play each time with lots of skill shown at each facet of his game. He's getting better and better each game

He's shown a ton of versatility, played well with a ton of different linemates this year too. He's been good on the PP, he's changing speeds, seeing the ice really well, and he's added a ton of jump to the team. I thought he'd take a bit more of time to get acclimated to the college game but he's way ahead of where I thought he'd be. Outside of the freshman trio from last year, I'm about as impressed as I have been with a freshman at BC with Stiga as I've seen in a very long time. Nashville may have a mega steal on their hands

Here are some clips I could find on him but I encourage people to catch some games of him on ESPN+
