Bedard isn't McDavid calibre? He had a better D-1 season than McDavid on a shittier Regina team and is only the 6th(?) U17 player in WHL history to score 50 goals.
Tanner Howe is a great prospect akin to DeBrincat, but neither of those players were as good as Bedard or McDavid on their respective teams.
Uh, you don't think Bedard's better than Howe? Their age difference is only 4 months, I wouldn't make a very big deal out of it just because they're in different drafts.
I'm sure Howe's talented and all but considering him more talented than Bedard is a creative opinion to be sure.

I like him a lot but I don't see him as a 1st overall guy. His stats alone should earn him some kudos.
Other than Demidov, he's the only one playing at the highest junior level.

I want to see what he does when Bedard is in the NHL - probably works against him he is a ‘24 eligible rather than a ‘23. But there’s a lot of time between now and his draft day.
