Slovakia’ve already played against Stutzle, Peterka, Byfield or Cozens at this tournament. But the most dangerous player we had to face it so far, was this guy imho. His performance impressed me a lot. I still don’t get it how he could pass undrafted.

Simon Knak is off to a hot start for Portland, with 5 goals in 4 games so far including 2 shorthanded. I think his skill set of being a well rounded forward hands and skating wise while also showing an aptitude for defensive zone play at 5v5 and shorthand should lead to opportunities in a bottom 6 role in the NHL. He has definitely taken advantage of the delayed start to the WHL season and learning from playing against men to improve his play at the junior level and should not be skipped over this time in the draft.
Up to 8 goals, 15 points in 13 games now. I’ve really liked him this season, would love to have him on my junior team. Is he an NHL prospect? Only time will tell. His skill level isn’t high enough, but with his size, speed and work ethic, I think he has a shot at becoming a bottom-six guy.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see even more overagers picked than usual, given the way the season has gone.liked him as a late rounder last year, think he'll be picked this year for sure.
