Game winner from Leonard deserves a post. Also had an assist a few minutes before this for BC's first goal to spark the comeback. Leonard makes a habit of rising to the occasion as the stakes get higher.

Risen to the occasion so often that he's actually become the occasion.

But for real, the ONLY knock I have on this player is that he gets walloped as often as he wallops others and thats a bit of a red flag in terms of long term durability.

Love this player, hate that he's a Caps prospect.

Seriously, I have never seen a guy get absolutely blown up by big hits as often as Leonard does.

Leonard is an incredible talent with a style that is going to endear him to fans in the NHL but he definitely has a recklessness to his game that he’s going to have to reign in a bit.

BC getting absolutely caved this period by a mediocre UConn outfit. I think the boys maybe felt they could sleepwalk through this one…nice wake-up call. Sounds like Fowler went a bit nuts because he got kicked out of the game with a misconduct.

I'm frankly surprised Leonard has never had a serious injury.

Fowler went full Binnington and punched a guy who scored on him. Well-deserved boot.

Leonard's reputation definitely precedes him. Other teams know he wants to be the bully and try to match that intensity. He just got leveled into his own bench at the very end of a period for next to no reason, and then another UConn player comes up during the scuffle and straight up tackles him around the waist. These aren't even hockey plays.

Leonard had a goal late in the third to help BC claw back to a tie game to force OT too. His style of play can be frustrating at times because he tries to do everything himself. But it does really lend itself to big-time moments because he is willing to get his hands dirty and will the puck into the net.

Side note, but watching Leonard/Perreault/Hagens in three-on-three hockey was incredible. It was like they were playing with their food at times having all of that space to operate.

Aforementioned goal from Leonard. He just flies up the ice when he sees these sorts of opportunities opening up. The burst he consistently generates right in front of the net to make himself available is special.

Looks like a good call from Perreault and Leonard to take an extra year in Boston College. Looking at Smith it looks like he was not ready for it yet. Of course he is on a much worse team than Leonard and Perreault would have played on so they would probably get more help from their team. Leonard with his physical tools was probably the most ready to play an effective NHL game this year. While Perreault and Smith if everything works out for them will be higher point producers while I see Leonard as an effective two way winger that also produces well.

Leonard with another on a nice pass from Perreault. 2 on 1, Leonard to Perreault, and back to Leonard for the finish.
