Michigan's roster lists Mcgroarty at 185 lbs. Either that's a typo or he cut a lot of weight since the combine where he was 204.

Probably the weight he reported to them when he committed several years back. Just a guess…

He's having a pretty good season. 16 points in 17 games. I know a lot of people falsely believe he's only a goal-scorer, but he's 6+10. He's only shooting 12%, which is a little unlucky, given he has a good shot and what percentage some of his other teammates are shooting. He's the lowest by a long way of the top 5 forward scorers on the team. He's fourth on the team in shots behind Samoskevich, Fantilli, and Hughes, so in getting shots he's beating everyone else you'd expect him to beat. He also doesn't play on the stacked first line.

This is good news for Michigan and RMG's long-term development.

Winnipeg has been one of the more aggressive teams in pulling college players early, I know a lot of Michigan people were a bit worried about them trying to sign him.

I hear so many talk about him as some power forward. While I do think there are hard elements to his game, his scoring is what will make him his money.
