With Chicago now an AHL affiliate of the Hurricanes where does Grimaldi land?

He's now 31 so his NHL days may have passed (though he did play over 200 NHL games).

He was a point per game scorer last year for a Wolves team that wasn't very good.

Dude hasn't touched NHL ice since 2021, he won't get an NHL deal anymore. I'm sure he signs with like Rockford or something idk.

Probably signs a PTO and is back to playing top line in the AHL somewhere next year again. He lives in Chicago with wife and baby, so I'm sure he'd be happy to play for either the Wolves, Ice Hogs or Admirals if possible.

He should be able to get $300-400k at the AHL level, since he's basically one of the best players in the league.

Tax included, that is going to be a good chunk less net, of course. I would have to think he could make more in Europe. Some people would enjoy that opportunity to see more of the world, some people would rather just stick around the good ol' US of A, even with a smaller paycheck. It's just up to him.

He's a very good AHL player. Chicago's lack of NHL contract Development Players is why they stunk.
