OT winner and gordie Howe hat trick in OHL top prospects game against Misa

That was really the first time I watched a game of his and came away super impressed. Not sure if I just caught some bad ones before or what but if he's a for sure top 5 pick might indicate this draft is not looking like anything too special.

And that draft wasn't anything special either. Neither is Brady Tkachuk tbh despite the popular 'unicorn' misnomer.

So you think he won't go back to junior or go to the NCAA (Michigan?) for a year? Or will that depend on what Chicago/San Jose/Buffalo/Nashville thinks?

The NCAA thing could throw a wrench into things, given you have to make an earlier choice. But I think if it’s OHL or NHL I think he plays well enough through rookie camp, preseason, 9 games, and then the first half of the season to stick. He’s older than most top draft picks, more physical, bigger, stronger. All of that should work in his advantage.
