These posts are always hilarious and so pointless. Nobody said we know how anybody will turn out. The board is called hockeys future, it exists to discuss prospects and potential. There’s nobody forcing you to participate.Glad that after 1 preseason we know how all these guys will turn out. Well done Detroit.
People jumping to conclusions based on preseason will never stop being ridiculous. And acting like you are deriving deep insights on them from a good training camp is silly. We don’t have an appreciably better evaluation of these guys than we did 4 months ago unless you weren’t paying any attention ahead of the draft. These posts are always hilarious and so pointless. We’re discussing how these guys are looking on first impression against higher levels of competition. That may indicate something about their potential. They could all bust or all become all stars.

Once again, nobody has jumped to any conclusions, and nobody has derived “deep insights”. We’ve derived SOME insight, and that is that Danielson looks a lot better than some of us expected and shows flashes of having very high potential.People jumping to conclusions based on preseason will never stop being ridiculous. So this summer in this very thread, you came in guns ablazing to criticize Yzerman and his drafting, and lumped Danielson into the mix as a "reach" of a pick. You then dunked on Danielson by claiming that you were so glad the Wings passed on him for Dvorsky.People jumping to conclusions based on preseason will never stop being ridiculous. Oof the whiff of a take
He is the 13th forward most recently and will soon be sent down to the Allsvenskan I think. Is Dvorsky still in the SHL or is still on his team as the 13th forward?
i think he’s leading the Shl in scoring but i’m not sureIs Dvorsky still in the SHL or is still on his team as the 13th forward?

Exactly. "Projecting" Danielson to be an elite defensive center like Bergeron AND to score 80-90 points is quite the reach.Bergeron never had over 80 points
Read the post again. 80-90 points was for Benson.Exactly. "Projecting" Danielson to be an elite defensive center like Bergeron AND to score 80-90 points is quite the reach.
i was right then and i'm right now.So this summer in this very thread, you came in guns ablazing to criticize Yzerman and his drafting, and lumped Danielson into the mix as a "reach" of a pick. You then dunked on Danielson by claiming that you were so glad the Wings passed on him for Dvorsky.
You seem to want to give the benefit of the doubt for it being early in the draft +1 to your own prospect in his own thread, but are quick to jump in a criticize Danielson in his thread for some reason. Maybe you're insecure about your prospect because you're the one who didn't watch enough of both before the draft?
Never said that. 70-75 with elite D is what I’m thinking is best case.Exactly. "Projecting" Danielson to be an elite defensive center like Bergeron AND to score 80-90 points is quite the reach.
Apparently you are wholly unfamiliar with Bergeron. His peak production in a full season was 73 points. Far from a 90-point guy. He averaged 65.6 points/game through his NHL career. And why are you saying penciled in? The guy said that the potential was there, not that he was guaranteed to achieve it.Bergeron level?
C'mon now. Bergeron is a hall of famer. If Danielson is already after his 1st pro training camp penciled to become a 90 points elite defensive C, he should have been picked #1 or #2 OA.
It's ok to be a fan, but these expectations are not realistic.
Posts like this are so silly. 4 months ago we only had scouting of him against kids, and not even against the best of the best of his age group, just the WHL. Now we have seen him dozens of times against much higher competition, whether it be in training camps, or preseason, or NHL practices. You can glean more insight from all that.People jumping to conclusions based on preseason will never stop being ridiculous. So is it pretty clear that Danielson will be ready next season? I've heard he had a fantastic camp.
it's a 1-11 game, if other team has such a game, they may just bench their best player to let them get some rest instead of playing the meanless gameIs danielson trying to force Brandon to trade him or what? Tuned in for the first and (mid way through second) and it seems like he could care less about what is going on. He’s been absolutely awful against Portland.
Yeah, he's not lighting it up. Honestly not too concerned about his production, though. It's not really a step back from what he was doing in the WHL last season, and he was PPG in the pre-season against NHLers and AHLers. His stats are really underwhelming so far
