They should just play 5 forwards at all times. It's not like this team knows how to defend anyways. Might as well just go for all out offense at all times.
You might be onto something. Might explain the recent wbs goalie pto.
Sully gonna ice 6 goalies at the same time. Stupid goal scorers aren't going to get in the way of his pure genius.

The PTO goalie makes me think they are considering keeping Blomqvist up and possibly moving Jarry or Nedeljkovic out via trade for defense.

Pens: Blomqvist and 1 of Jar/Ned
WBS: Larrson and Murashov
Wheel: Gauthier and Richardson

You know you absolutely have your head hurried so far up your ass and absolutely zero to offer coaching this team when you “Bylsma” the brilliant idea of shoving Geno on the wing with Sid. Good lord this f***ing loser needed to be gone 4-5 years ago.

This franchise is so f***ing embarrassing. It's unreal how despite their best efforts to f*** up stanley cups Sid & Geno willed them to 3 over their careers.

This will never reach the Matt Canada levels where they start chanting to fire Sullivan at other sporting events because Pittsburgh doesn't care about the Penguins like they do the Steelers, but....

for me personally, it has gotten that bad with Sullivan. They've reworked all of the bottom 6, the defense, and the assistant coaches numerous times and things just keep getting worse. There's nothing left. It's painfully obvious what needs to happen. The fever needs to break.

If a "Fire Sully!" chant ever broke out at a Steeler, 3/4 of that slack-jawed crowd would be wondering "who the hell is Sully?" and "what position does he hold with the Steelers?".

I'm guessing you're not a Steelers fan, but funny enough, they actually employ a Mike Sullivan  He was the QB coach. I think he's some sort of offensive assistant now.

I was about to type that he would be so confused why the crowd was chanting

.. But.. Anyone related to the steelers QB or offense wouldn't be too surprised if the crowd was calling for their head lol (well, last year, at least)

lol…that’s probably what Werner is thinking…

“The case for firing Sullivan is much stronger than the case for keeping him. In fact, in nearly any other market, he would have been gone by now. At the least, he’d be coaching for his job over the next couple of games. Can you imagine if the Penguins lose at home to Anaheim (Thursday) and Montreal (Saturday) and fall to 3-9-1 with an eight-game losing streak?

How do you keep him at that point?

That would normally be a rhetorical question, but I’m betting Fenway Sports Group chairman Tom Werner wouldn’t consider it as such. Less than a month ago, Werner forcefully defended Sullivan, saying, “We think that he’s one of the two or three best coaches in hockey.”

Sullivan also has two years left, after this season, on his contract. My guess is that even a 20-game losing streak wouldn’t make Werner budge.”

Any insight as to why Hayes is getting less than 10 minutes a night? Has he not been good? Coaching issue?
Made a mistake in the defensive zone the other night and didn’t have the right name on the back of his jersey.

If you’re speaking of the season as a whole, he’s been on the 4th line until a game ago.
I think. The lines are so awful it’s hard to tell 2 from 4.

The advanced search is the best part of this site.

My earliest bashing of Sully I found was in 2017 where I graded him as a C- and trending downwards. The post below is one of my many early Sully hate posts. It's also interesting reading who comes to Sully's defense.

Sullivan should be fired over his use of Kuhn.

That soft German puffball has 2 GOALS.... in 49 games.

Mike has become our worst nightmare in one years time.

Sullivan and Torts are boys. Wonder if Torts poisoned Sullivans mind before Hayes ever played a game.!!!

I think after years of being the friendly coach he tried to make an example of him but it’s too late. Everyone’s been playing awful for too long.

Even .if it doesn't help, odd they have not canned him yet. My guess is Sid and the gang is ok with him
