I think that this age category will still live up to expectations and 10+ talented guys will be selected in the top 100 of the 2027 draft. Even if someone lowers their level, there will always be those who can replace the one who has dropped.
The following guys are also worth paying attention to: Jan Rejthar, Oliver Andrle look great in the Swedish U18 league, which is mainly played by players born in 2007. David Guk is in a similar situation in Finland. The U16 league is being torn apart by Sebastian Taliga, who is now also Czech. Denis Widemann and Stepan Stejskal are also playing in Switzerland for the 2007 year. There are also many who can be singled out from those playing in the Czech Republic. Anyway, the U16 national team looks much stronger than the U17 national team. Even though the U17 team has Katolický and Novák, the depth of the team is very weak. I saw about half of the U16 matches at the current tournament and the team played very confidently (and they are still missing many players, including Kachlíř and Byrtus).

I think the U17 team is very good but plays much better opponents. Every team has a good 08 group except maybe for a Germany.

Who is the Czechia U16 playing against? Weaker swedish group, terrible slovak team, weak switzerland and germany.

The 2008 class has proven time and again that their forward group is simply weaker overall. There are a few great players, but the depth is lacking. And if you're missing even your two best players, it's going to end up like it is now.
Whereas the group born in 2009 is much deeper. The list of players has already been made by user czech and not only here in this thread.

Yes, I do not share the optimism of some users regarding the 2026 draft, although I understand the reason why hopes are pinned on this draft: perhaps a good result in the first round will be shown. Late 07 Novotny (with a high probability) and Dravecky (with a slightly lower probability) could join Katolicky and, possibly, Novak. Having two to four players in the first round is certainly not bad. But 08 in particular is very weak. And if the defensive line can still give the draft several players for the middle and late rounds (for example, Kamas, Kurka, Vanecek, Ruml, Reisnecker), then among the forwards I can hardly even imagine who can complement Novak and Katolicky in the late rounds. Klaus plays well in Switzerland and perhaps also Svancar, who has progressed this season, scoring goals for the senior team - they have a chance. And that's it. No other forward born in this year will be selected!
But let's get back to Michal Hartl. Today the Czech team won by seven goals and its captain Michal Hartl scored three points. (By the way, the 08 team lost its game today by the same goal difference).
