Looks like kid has grown a bit. Standing beside #92 Nic Sima who was “6’4” last year but went down to 6’3 this year.

Misa listed at 6’1 but he looks to be the same height or even a little bit taller and both are same distance back from photographer- neither slouching.

I think it's almost a given this guy gets picked before Hagens, but I wonder if he goes #1. That kind of offensive talent is to good to pass on

Seems disingenuous to leave out D-2 Tavares 72 goals.

Still insane
I get what you’re saying but they obviously want to highlight that this is his draft season. Kane and Tavares both had their 60 goal OHL seasons in 2006/07. So I suppose another stat that’s about the same is Misa is the first player in his 17 year old or younger season to score 60 in the OHL since Tavares.

For sure. I understand why they chose draft season only.

But imagine in the nhl saying "player has the 4th most goals for a 19 year old" and leaving out someone who had scored more ar age 18. He should be on the list with an asterisk that says he was 2 years removed from being draft eligible.

Still an incredible feat just figured JT deserved the love because that is probably one of if not the greatest goal scoring years in Chl history when you account for age

Misa has a shot at no1.

Schaefer was upgraded to 1st overall after 1 wjc game then he got hurt the next one and has not played since.

Hawks already have 2nd and 7th overall LDs. Buffalo 2 1st overalls.
If Sharks keep their spot I do think they still take Schaefer while Hawks may just take Misa at 1 if that’s how the lottery lands

Hawks definitely aren’t opposed to taking Schaefer. But Levshunov is a RD and Korchinski has been passed on the LD depth charts by Vlasic and Del Mastro, he might even be traded for forward help honestly.

If the Hawks are picking 1st it really comes down to how they view Schaefer. Is he a franchise 1D like Hughes/Makar? If so you’d be insane to pass on that.

The fact that his sample size is so small makes things even more difficult.

I’d lean Misa at 1 for Chicago right now, but wouldn’t be upset at all with Schaefer.

Chicago would have an absolutely ridiculous D core in 2-3 years.

Would be pretty funny since they can fall any lower than 5th if they ended up at 5th and missed on all the the big 4.

San Jose if they stay last place they’re guaranteed even if they fall in draft lottery.

You can only drop 2 spots and they are not catching either of Nashville or Buffalo in the standings at this point.

I'm also questioning the 'big 4' rhetoric. That's what it's been for most of the season, but with Martone not hitting expectations over the last month or so, and Frondell exceeding his expectations over that same time, it's arguably a top 5 now or even potentially a top 6 or 7 depending on how one views Desnoyers and McQueen.
