Talked about as one of the best Minnesota High School players this year. 6’5 207 right shot forward. Leads Edina in points and goals this year. He’s a junior, so has another year of high school after this one. He’s one of the youngest players in the 2025 Draft. He’s being recruited to play football also. There’s been comparisons made to Anders Lee. I read an interview where he said he’s going to have to choose between the two sports eventually. Seems like hockey is his better sport and he likes it more, based on an interview I read. No college commitment yet, and that’s probably because he’s sifting through his options for both sports.

Listed 6’5.75 on the Central Scouting rankings.

Also cool that he’s getting some recognition (#50), even if it’s a weak list overall.

Seems like a guy who'd be able to get MAC offers in football and actually play, might be able to get low level B1G offers and be a backup or 3rd string. He'd be able to get offers from most B1G/NCHC/Hockey East schools in hockey. Pretty simple IMHO

I had the exact same calculus.

It seems close enough that he could choose football if he liked it more (not like he's McDavid in hockey and some walk on level guy in football), but it seems like his better chance at making a pro career out of a sport is with hockey, and even from an interview I read it seems like that's the lean.

this guy is super intriguing. wasn't there another kid in a similar spot a few years ago? not spellacy. another minnesota
kid that was a stud in both sports and fielding tons of offers.

He already has MAC offers and has visited Illinois and Cal (B1G and ACC), so those offers will likely come. But yes, he should get a full ride for hockey and it is easier to make a career out of it. But Josh Allens do exist…

Mark Alt had a full ride scholarship to play QB at Iowa, but took the full ride to play hockey at Minnesota. And yes, he's the older brother of Chargers stud offensive lineman Joe Alt.

Not sure how West compares in both sports to Alt, but some of the Minnesotans on here can fill us in.

First period hat trick although Edina lost.

This kid is going waaaay higher than people think. He was already a second rounder (#59) in Bobby’s mid-season poll. I think he’s got a legit shot at the first round on this trajectory. He’s going to savage the combine and testing and by all accounts he’s been an absolute standout at state.

I would love to see him on the U18 Worlds roster.

If someone's gonna tell me like Richard Gallant or Landon Hafele deserves a spot more than him because they spent two years at the NTDP, I don't get it. Exactly what's wrong with the NTDP process.
