F Jayden Perron - North Dakota, NCAA (2023, 94th, CAR)

Expecting him to pop off for North Dakota this upcoming season. Didn't transition to the NCAA as quickly as many thought, but he was snake bitten in many games this season, a lot of dented crossbars/posts. Schlossman is high on him so I tend to be as well.

Was at the North Dakota Miami Friday game in Oxford a couple hours ago. Thoughts on Perron:

Perron is the most dynamic player for UND by far. Good puck handler, but tends to over stickhandle a bit, leading to opponents knocking the puck away from him. Really got going in the 3rd period, ripping one off the crossbar early on, before tying the game with the goalie pulled with an absolutely lethal snipe from far out. Hope to see him put it all together soon, there are Jackson Blake elements in his game, just not sure if he has the hockey IQ necessary to get him where he could go.

Doesn't seem to put up a lot on the stat sheet, but I like this. Blake has been one of the best defensive forwards on Carolina this year and has an insane stick that can take the puck away. It's crazy because he kinda looks like Necas without the speed, but the puckhandling is there and defensive game is crazy good too.
