24 points now in 9 games. Second highest scorer on his team has 11.
For what it's worth, it's the highest PPG through 9 games in the J20, all-time.

Why hasn't this forum exploded with this kid yet? One of the best players in HGC being one of the youngest and is obliterating the j20. Leader in goals, assists, points, more than double the points of any teammate and 10 points ahead of second place in the entire league, this being his D-1 season; in addition to passing the eye test, dominating the games a lot.

Lots to be excited about, but he is quite soft and cheats a bit for offense. Which isn't unusual.

He's very skilled and knows where to be on the ice, good skater but not a speedster. Reminds me of Marner, and like Marner, can also do good work on the PK. Somehow I get a bit of Michkov too, just his ability to read the play and find soft spots.

Making his debut for the men's team today, got another 2 goals yesterday so he's leading J20 by 12 points... Yeah.

This should be good, but it isn't. It looks like he didn't even play 2 minutes. It's more advantageous to continue obliterating J20 and leave Shl for next year, when he'll probably get significant playing time.

Might write a big analysis at some later point, maybe if I see some further development. But just some impressive numbers: 20+23=43 in 22 games, needs 15 more games at this pace to break the all time season record in J20 history. Schedule is going to be more challenging after christmas, but assuming he doesn't miss too many games to international play, injuries or SHL callups he would have to drop off massively. Pretty sure he also has the biggest gap to a teammate in the league right now, with 18 points down to the guy riding shotgun on his line.

really impressive numbers, i often feel that in J20 its better to do analysis after they divide the table into top 10 and bottom after christmas since his team Frölunda HC is a really good team, some of the bottom teams are terrible defensively. So i want to see more of him against better J20 teams and u18 international.

But im excited about him for sure :D

Doesn't sound remotely close to a done deal. More like a move is a fail-safe depending on what happens in Frölunda.

His agent hits the nail on the head in, well, everything he says. Talks about things like the SHL should widen its windows for the prospects like Ivar, skilled with the puck & a high IQ, who isn't cut out for a 4th line role and how if they (Ivar, Frölunda, agent) handle Ivar in the best way then he thinks it would be a boon for the attractiveness of the league & hockey Sweden as a whole.

If he actually comes to BU next year (I don't think he will) will he produce something like 1.3/1.5 ppg? What are the expectations?

Why? Do you think he is a less talented player than the likes of Farinacci, Mustard, Smilanic? or late birthdays like Brindley and Beniers?
If he’s less talented than Brindley and Beniers, yes I think so.

If he’s a top 10 pick, I think 1PPG would be required.
I don’t consider him a top 10 pick as of now, that is why.

So much context to get an actual ppg projection correct, so who knows. But with good ice time and powerplay time etc I have a hard time seeing Stenberg not be a ppg player at the very least. I've seen Eisermans insane shot, and maybe he is better in other areas than the few times I've seen him(mostly internationally), but I have never been super impressed by him, and he is bordelining a point per game.

I wouldn't expect him to go though, Frölunda has started to play him in the SHL now, and they are going to do what they can to keep him. The clubs and people are starting to complain about NCAA now, and it would not look great if the best offensive j20 d-1 player we've had in a loooong time left Sweden and the club who (somehow) prides themselves as prospect heaven.

I'm hoping for it though. It would do wonders for his development. Smaller step up, better facilities, development focused coaches, insane money put into the programs, and more focus on retaining and builiding on his skill and offensive talent. Here, the team and the SHL as a whole is going to do its absolute best to mellow his game out. Unfortunate to not get to watch him here, but I have no doubt Boston would be the better option for him, and anyone who wants more top swedish players to become offensive forces at the higher levels.
