No they need to be held to the same standard. I think Michkov is a fantastic & skilled player, he’s just a bit inferior to Demidov and there’s nothing wrong in acknowledging that.
But is Montreal is a “much” better team right now? I recall the Flyers being a bubble team last year (87 points) before Michkov joined them. As talented as he is, he should have pushed Philly above the edge and made them a playoff team. They had great chemistry and a good thing going.
Instead, they crumbled when Michkov arrived. The coach (which did a good job last year) got canned and they had to move a few players out. Is that a coincidence? Maybe, who knows? The timing is weird though
