Michkov scored with plugs though and at 5v5. If you’re “that” good you can score even with lesser line mates no? Or does this only work when we talk about Michkov. After 4 nations Michkov was one of the best 5v5 players in the NHL, with absurd play driving metrics and led his team in goals, we should expect the same from Demidov.
Lil guy Demidov just came out from Russia 2 weeks ago and is playing against the top seed in the east.
Lil guy you compare him to top prospects they need to be held to the same standard, calm down I know you’re standing up but chill.
He looked really comfy on the PP and made a nice pass; 5v5 he’s been horrific, the reasons it’s a red flag is because it was the same red flags he had as a prospect, foot speed, stride and skating. His ability to dissect the game is slow when the space is limited. It’s great when he has power play level space. Even Michkov had a small adjustment period coming to the NHL 5v5 then he started to dominate, that’s how it goes. How many fans from a specific fan base were on his thread calling him a PP merchant, come on. I’m rooting for Demidov either way.
I just think the sample size is too small and their situations too different to compare them 1:1 yet, Demi is still adapting to the pace but next season we'll get a better picture.
What kinda point totals do you see next year, obviously he'll get better ice time / PP1 time than Michkov. Assuming he's completely healthy, also I"ll note that Habs PP looked great today if Hutson works on his shot, might be one of the top 3 PP QB's in the league.
Idk it's hard to tell, there's so many variables and possible outcomes but with pp1 and top 6 minutes I'd be pumped with around 0.75 ppg. The homer in me hope he can get more thought.
Hopefully they get a legit center to play with him at 5v5 too. Dvo/Evans with him would drive Habs fans mad over a full season.

No they need to be held to the same standard. I think Michkov is a fantastic & skilled player, he’s just a bit inferior to Demidov and there’s nothing wrong in acknowledging that.
what same standard what are u talking about? and I dunno if u can even say Demidov as ppg in his D+1 season, he played only 2 games. not even enough to burn a ELC year.
I know he’s a smaller version of Phil Kessel (in height/weight) and will eventually end up a very high end complimentary piece on a top contender. I also know that the Flyers went from a bubble team to a basement team when Michkov joined - Which might just be a coincidence, we don’t know!
