Have to ask him - he's already got 8 NHL games to his credit so it's not a debut.

Any player who would rather play in AHL all-star game instead of the NHL, would really raise questions. No one cares about the AHL, relative to being in the NHL. Sorry for the fans there but it is all about development to get guys in the NHL.

I’m old enough to remember two days ago when Lindy Ruff said Rosen was getting a great opportunity.

Anyway…he’s been sent back
This was his "great opportunity" - 11:46 TOI, 3 shifts in the 3rd, with 2:05 TOI.

Not that Rosen looked great by any means, but there's effectively zero chance at a playoff spot now, 3 forwards were out, and maybe more will be out tomorrow.

Why not give the kid a decent look for at least 3-4 games, with different linemates? I don't get it.

Ruff's not here to develop the youngsters. He's going to play the players who give him the best shot to win. I can't really blame him, as much as i would have liked to see more of Rosen. He needs to make some noise with the minutes he gets and then he'll get more.
