Just noticed they changed his third goal to Murray, he gets the primary on it from Saturday in Hartford.

You know, Rosen probably has the same general questions at this point.

He's probably playing well realizing that is his best, last, hope, to get out of this organization.

Could be. I do like how Leone has the team playing, outside of the hit or miss powerplay. It's weird to see how much more Rosen looks to shoot without Kulich around. It really did seem like he was trying to force passes to his friend to get him back up to the show in Kulich's last stint down.

Kulich being this good makes me think Rosén can at least be a responsible as a 3rd line guy?

I'm not sure. I want to see how this stretch continues, with him toddling off to the AHL all star game again (which last time blew him and Kulich out from a fatigue standpoint due to travel shenanigans). But he's got 18 goals in the 25 games with Rochester since his cup of coffee night against the Sharks. Tack on 7 assists in that stretch too, it's a very good run and he's the one driving that. He's creating so much of it - goal 1 tonight is due to his pressure below the goal line and leads to him scoring - so it's not like he's coattailing on someone else. Hell, Ostlund has been a bit better production wise lately because he's out there with Rosen and Murray. And Helenius is ice cold because he's not.

What's the role would be my question. If Quinn or Peterka were to go down, easy to see him as the substitution and given a long rope to show what he has at the NHL level.

Also if my math is correct Ostlund has 10 points in 12 games since returning from injury.

I hope Rosen gets another shot this year. Maybe after the trade deadline.

3-7-10 in his last 10 for Ostlund.

Rosen is starting to show out in the way other of their young wingers have at that level. It's encouraging - means moving a younger winger off the NHL team is easier to backfill or that Rosen is going to be sought by teams looking for fresh legs with speed and finish if they have an NHL level contributor offered in trade.

So does everyone think this is the “big”prospect most like to be traded? Developing nicely, but this team absolutely does not have place to insulate a middle six rookie on the wing. It’s an unfortunate reality of poor roster construction and planning, but appears to be the case.

No. You can't really judge a player until he has played at least 2 seasons in the NHL.
They slow cooked Rosen. And for the most part Kulich. Wait a few years to see what we have before giving them away.

I just don’t see when we’d have space to break a rook winger in the top 9 if we actually intend on competing next year. But maybe they aren’t serious about competing yet, so maybe that’s my answer

But hopefully he kills it in this recall and forces the issue

Or, they're showcasing him for a potential trade.

Wait. It's the Sabres. Disregard that idea.

Showcase or try and find out what they have? So far he hasn't looked very good on callups but since then he has upped his game in the AHL.

He looked better than Kulich (or Savoie) in their limited action last season. Isak earned a bunch of games over them last season.

Hope the slow: cooking in Rochester paves his way to success with the Sabres.

Kulich played one game on the fourth line in a game the team was dog walked and he was one of the few not getting beaten down.

Savoie literally played less than 4 minutes.

Rosen got over ten minutes of ice two times…one of them barely. He was stapled to the bench most of his big seven game run.

How would they possibly know in any case?

What he did have was an ELC that didn’t slide anymore and no risk of giving him games if he ended up sticking.

Kulich and Savoie got to slide.
