These are the most frustrating type of games. They were pretty even with Detroit.. but just one more very good finisher, not even an elite one, might have made the difference.

I mean, our leading goalscorer is 42nd in goals, and lets be real, a lot of that is riding a unsustainable shooting%.
Couple posts didn't help things. Much closer than the scoreboard for sure.

Blah. Frustrating game!
Probably deserved at least 1 point out of this one. Liked the new guys. Wolf solid as usual. Onto the next.

Hitting the net second after the buzzer is that extra bit of salt in the wounds.

Really had trouble getting to the slot against Detroit, they played well defensively and Talbot wasn't giving up much rebound wise.

Liked Frost's center play quite a bit. Farabee didn't see much from him.
Bean needs to sit, he was awful. Hanley and Barrie were fine. One of Poirier or Solovyov or Kuznetsov should get in. Might be time to give Lombo a game or two off too, like the guy and like the signing but there's no reason he needs to play all 82 for us.

Let's get them in Seattle. From Octopus to Kraken.

Yes very good. Love the kid, some great pictures from the family album. Looking forward to see what Costco has to say.
Totally surprised to hear and see that Wolf was still hanging around the arena in the 7th round hoping his name would be called. The kid obviously doesn't quit.

Yet another very winnable game, but not a bad showing considering the boys were winging it (pardon the pun) for the most part. Detroit’s D brought it today, and made Talbot look better than he actually was. Farabee might have been squeezing the stick a little too tight, but Frosty got better as the game went on, as evidenced by Huska playing him in those crucial moments. I dunno if anybody in here is old enough to remember him, but I was low key getting Mark Recchi vibes. I’d be thrilled with a poor man’s Recchi.

Back at it again already tomorrow vs. the Krakheads, so they won’t really have much time to draw anything up, but I guess trial by fire is as good practice as any. Rango really needs to work on his play without the puck. I realize the guy’s main role is to score, but he’s gotta find other way’s to contribute if and when he is ever snake bitten like he’s been. It might be soon to be mentioning him, but Pelts was hard on the forecheck and did a lot of other little things that kept him engaged, and his chances finally came. Sharky just looks disinterested out there sometimes. He’d be miles more effective if he played with a bit more physicality, finishing checks, etc. Chalk this one up to orientation, and hopefully they put in some work this week. Shout out to the left side d for keeping it a one-goal game vs. one of the league’s hottest teams. Hanley and Barrie both stood out to me.

Unbelievable impotance. Went to bed after 1st, just didn't see us scoring and I was almost right....

Sharan looks like a bust.

I liked Frost. Farabee was fighting it a bit.
On to the next one with my boy Vladar. Guaranteed win.
Not a chance. Pure L.

Got goalied last night.
It happens. Hit a bunch of posts and Talbot made big saves. Wolf would want that second goal back too.

Thought Calgary was the better team last night.
Really like what I saw from Frost. I think it adds another creative forward to a lineup depleted of that.
Farabee seemed a bit off. I’m sure it’s going to take him a couple games to get what he needs to do on that Kadri/Huby line.

Overall it is what it is. That’s the magic of the NHL, where the better team doesn’t always win.
