Now don't get me wrong...I'm not saying John Bean forced Conroy to sign his son.. but people do favors for other people all the time and the Flames needed dmen.

Bean quit in March, mid-season... I doubt the FLames were aching to do him favors

The official announcement was made on May 13. His replacements started their jobs on June 3. Bean informed CSEC in 2023 that he was stepping down but as of May 2024 he was still doing the job of President and CEO of CSEC.

This team needs a franchise clutch forward... preferably a center.
Now maybe we'll get extremely lucky and draft one in the mid to late first round or later rounds... but I wouldn't bet my mortgage payment on it. Same with making a trade for one.

Kinda looking like the Swedish boys’ club might’ve been a factor in who got to stay and who had to go.

I think it's also partly the Gretzky-comment aftermath as well as the Don C HNIC pendulum swing away from criticizing Swedes or something. Can't believe he's been sharing blame with Miller for 2 years whom the latter he can't hold a candle beside IMO.
 
I don't think we're gonna get three past Talbot tonight in order to win this game.
