Big kid at 6’4” lead his team in scoring at the U15 WSI in Nashville, his team lost out in the semi-final but he was essentially a one man show for them, scoring 15 points in only 7 games, while his next closes teammate had 9. He’s a big kid that uses his size well, very good in the corners and especially in front of the net where he is quite good at corralling rebounds for goals. It’ll be interesting to follow his hockey career moving forward, I guess we’ll see how things play out.

Just got a feature on Hockey Night in Canada. Anyone got a scouting report? Was just named MVP of the OHL Cup.

Interesting to see how his game translates to the next level. Not doubting the skill, but he had an insane physical advantage at the U16 level.

Should got Top 3 in the OHL, potentially #1.

@GermanSpitfire great write up on your top picks for the OHL draft on X. Curious about this kids skating. You shared a clip yesterday that was a very small sample, but in it he looked slow and lumbering. Probably because it wasn't a predominantly skating focused play.

What is his skating like for such a big kid? Any comparables?

Hope he doesn't turn out to be Logan Barlage 2.0 who dominated minor hockey because he was so damn big.

Just looked up Barlage: January 12 birthday, so essentially the oldest in the hockey birthyear and school year grouping. Developed early cause he was the oldest. Not sure how good the minor hockey was that he was playing against in Saskatchewan.

Belchetz is a March 30 birthday, so he's older but not especially old for the birthyear.
