Will it be Tucson or Arizona is the only question and with each passing day it feels more like straight to the NHL. The draft potentially makes Guenther-Wright/Cooley-Keller a killer first line. Explosive potential right there kids.

Edmonton likely goes pretty far in the post-season, so I don't think he'll play any games with Tucson this year, and he can only play in Arizona or Edmonton next year. He'll be given his 9 game trial at absolute minimum I would think.

Thanks - I thought he was eligible for Tucson through the COVID exemption but I guess that’s gone. He’s can’t see him going back at 5.08 shots per game along with everything else.

2nd best junior goal scorer (nhl translatable) right now after McTavish imo.

Guenther is the real deal. To be a standout and star player on that team (with almost a dozen NHL prospects) says enough. He does it all in all three zones. My gut tells me Canucks fans in 5-6 years are going to wish Benning was fired before the 2021 draft just to have kept the pick instead.
I don’t think we have to wait 5-6 years. I think 99% of them already feel that way.

I'm a bigger fan of Garland than most, and I consider that trade to be an absolute catastrophe. Benning had to leave us with one last shit sandwich to eat on his way out, going all in on a team that didn't even make playoffs this year.

Following prospects is nice and so.

By no means we know for sure Vancouver had picked Guenther and he have yet to hit NHL surface. The list of prospects doing well in juniors is huge.

I wish he was fired before the pandemic happened.

Yeah, the medical staff in Houston isn't very good:sarcasm:
They’re just exhausted from treating all the injuries sustained in the breakneck pace at which a new arena must’ve been built, after some mystery owner nobody as ever heard of moved in and magically got this approved. Because we know for certain it won’t be Fertitta or the Toyota center.

I've been trying to catch as much Oil Kings as possible to keep an eye on Cossa, and I enjoy watching Winnipeg too for Savoie/Geekie/Lambos/etc.

I liked Guenther is his draft year and I like him even more now. Very skilled, competitive player.
