This is one for @Caser, @Guadana or some of the others who see the KHL on a regular basis.

He's now 24 and never drafted so past the point of being a high end prospect.

But after two mediocre regular seasons he was a near point per game scorer in last Spring's Gagarin Cup playoffs.

He also scored this highlight reel goal yesterday.

Is he worth watching?

I think he has not enough drive or game making in his game for top six nhl role and he isn’t very strong defensively as positional player to pencil him as potential two way pk smaller forward. But I saw him in limited amount of games and never focused on him, Magnitogosk isn’t my club or club with prospects I tracked. I believe Casey knows better.

Weird situation as a late bloomer who had 11 career KHL points heading into last year's playoffs ... and then led a championship-winning team in playoff points.

If he can be a PPG player over a full season in 24-25 maybe he gets some NHL sniffs, especially considering his late developmental spike.

Magnitogorsk's fourth-leadung scorer through 36 games with 8-13-21.

How much is he playing with Kantserov? Is this enough to get him an NHL look?

I don't know if he has enough to convince any NHL teams to take a chance on him yet. He still has 2 years to run on his contract so a couple more years to improve his game.

As for KHL summer free agents, Danil Aimurzin & Maxim Shabanov are most likely your top choices. Aimurzin is only 22 and having an incredible season. Would definitely be highly sought after by NHL teams.

The most interesting player on that team is goalie Nabakov who's rights are owned by the avs. Dmitrri is signed till next year. He is also playing on a deep team, so is his output based upon his play or the guys he is playing with. He is also on pace for 14 goals. Before the "troubles" I went to St Petes and Moscow twice a year for games and not a big fan of how the decide on assists. Not as strict as other leagues
