F Danila Yurov - Metallurg Magnitogorsk, KHL (2022, 24th, MIN)

If I was Danila Yurov I'd stay in Russia until the end of 2026 season to give optimum chance of being an NHL regular and maybe Star...No sense spending time in Iowa on "Farm" team even for a short period of time
If he comes over it will be on a one way contract, just like Khusnutdinov. No AHL time, for better or worse.

Sounds like a serious injury. Oof. Not good for Metallurg, or for MIN.

He had picked up his play recently where he was more noticeably engaged all game long and was getting results. I was lobbying (to the ether internet) for Kantserov to be moved off the Zernov line to the Yurov line because the Zernov-Kantserov connection wasn't working as well anymore and I thought Yurov was the best center on the team.

Khusnutdinov is on a 2-way contract. All Entry-level contracts are 2-way for their entire length, no exceptions. Yurov will only be eligible to sign a 3-year, 2-way ELC this offseason. He could get a 'European assignment clause' applied to his ELC though, which could help keep him away from Des Moines for the most part.

It has been noted many times here that Marat will not go down to Iowa - maybe if it's for an injury rehab. Yurov, being a higher value draft choice and player, would be the same.

Is that a good idea to send him to Minnesota right away? Is he fully ready for the league or would some time in the A benefit him?

Doesn't matter what is best for him. He will have it written into his contract that he won't play in Iowa. He will have played three years in the KHL. That should be enough minor league time, if he has the game. I wonder if he will be signed early to burn a year, or if his team's playoff season will extend past the NHL regular season.
