Every box score I look at shows him to be on PP2, at best. A lot of games he's the 8th forward in PP time so I didn't think that's the same as last season.
I mean, not like last season he was a first-line, PP1 player, he still is Metallurg's #2 or #3 center and the overall usage is sort of according to that role.

I thought he was PP1 last year but I could be wrong. I remember him getting a lot of PP assists.

Last season he averaged 2:20 PP time/game. 1:02 in playoffs.
This season he's currently at 2:22 game.

Yes, though it's less in all recent box scores. My post was more questioning why your lead scorer (not playoffs, I am aware...) is PP2 at best. Wild how much powerplay time there seems to be to go around. If it's not strange to you and Casar, that's also cool. I was asking out of curiosity.

If I was Danila Yurov I'd stay in Russia until the end of 2026 season to give optimum chance of being an NHL regular and maybe Star...No sense spending time in Iowa on "Farm" team even for a short period of time

I reckon you're overrating Yurov a little.
Last year was his break-out season, leading the team in points.......but Razin (coach) still appeared to shelter him at times. It's not like Yurov is the star of the team. Metallurg has no stars, but they're deep at forward. Offense by committee is how they won the Gagarin Cup last year, along with strong defense, goaltending and coaching.

But Yurov hasnt looked as good this season, for whatever reason.

Oh, great. He has a worse season, and now he wants to come over? And of course, he'll think he's too good for the AHL, like his countryman Khusnutdinov, with his 4 points in 42 gp.

He already has more FO's in 43 gp this year than in 62 gp last year. Perhaps his lesser production this year is due to his playing more Center, and having more defensive duties because of it? FO % is way up from last year, also.

Missing his 2nd straight game with injury today. I don't think I've seen much other than calling it a lower-body injury

edit: Even worse news!

I saw the play it happened. He drove the net and got checked be a couple defenders on the far side of the net/slot. Yurov and one of the defenders went down but nothing looked like it would cause an injury. The showed a replay several times but there was nothing obvious to see an injury occur. But - he stayed down on the ice for what seemed a couple minutes and had to be helped off the ice putting no weight on his leg. t that point it looked pretty bad.
