Oh, I think you misunderstood. I'm not saying sports fans don't make snap judgements. I'm saying sports fans who make snap judgements a year after an NHL draft are morons. That's all.
The real morons are the ones who come into prospect threads to tell everyone they're morons for discussing developing players.

Once again putting words in my mouth. I discuss players development all day. What's going on with Lindstrom is not good. That said, labeling a player drafted 8 months ago a bust is ridiculous. Crowning winners and losers when 1 player from the draft is playing in the league is stupid. It's not hard to understand.

I think generally redrafts after a year are a little stupid. You don’t judge a pick on half a season of info.

At the same time, I think there are usually some cases where a player way outplays their position or way underplays their position.

A guy who misses more than a year with a back injury that may never correct itself is not someone that a team would consider anywhere near pick 4, barring a McDavid level talent.
