F Bruno Idzan - Lincoln Stars, USHL (2024 undrafted)

Completely tanked over this calendar year. From first round consideration to extremely unlikely to be drafted unless he somehow sets the world on fire over the next few months.

It’s extremely unfortunate, just complete stagnation this year. He looked so promising last year.

Just goes to show you, not all development is linear.

His performance for the under 18 team will go a long way towards his draft position as well as any appearances with the Cro Nationsl team

A few draft rankings for this year have Bruno Idzan as ranked somewhere between 50 and 70 2nd or 3rd round seems possible

Lol, thats just a random guy who made a ranking back in october before the season started. I could also make a ranking and put him at 1st overall.
Maybe you should do some research and stop acting like a child.
May, not October.

The outlook for him to get drafted looked much better back then.

Is Idzans move to Sisak a strategic move for his development or a nosedive
Last year was the nosedive, the move to Sisak is just him picking up the pieces. It was pointless for him to stay in Sweden since he simply wouldn't get as much time on ice as he wanted there. And playing in AlpsHL is as good as any B-grade junior league in Europe plus it's at home, family factor, etc.

I don't think it will open as many doors as HungryFrank think but it will be enough at least to get some tryouts from the teams in Austrian league, Ljublijana would invite him for sure.

Depends how we define many doors. If stayed in Sweden, one might doubt his ability play hockey professionally on men's level. I'm a bit harsh, but basically: There would be many question marks.

Now he has shown he can play hockey on pro level. If he got to ICEHL next season, somehow, that would be a great success. Which pro league and which deployment would be the best is topic for another day.

Things about his play for Sisak that stand out for me is that he scores crucial goals on men's level. He snipes probably best in the league and game after game, his goal changes the flow of the play. Sheer amount of points is also something to respect.

Let's see where it leads him.
