F Brady Martin - Soo Greyhounds, OHL (2025 Draft)

Those of us that get to watch him every night are lucky. Imo the best all around player to wear the hounds uniform since I'd say Big Joe. Carter was a gem but Martin can score 30 goals and 80 points while going through you every night. He absolutely punishes guys and makes everyone around him better. Whoever gets him may have the steal of the draft.

After finally watching a few Greyhound games (fixated on Reid) I've come to the conclusion that Martin is by far the most underrated player of the draft.

Honesty, this kid can do it all.

I have been a huge fan of Martin and was hoping back when he was OHL drafted that the rumours of him wanting Owen Sound among 2-3 teams were true. He's really starting to come into his own.

Maybe I'm off base here, but would Mikael Backlund be an unfair comparison for him? I get really similar vibes when I watch him. Backlund wasn't as polished defensively as a junior but Martin seems to fit the mold as an ideal 2-3C in the future who can play up and down the lineup.

as far a junior comparison, i'd agree with what a poster above said, he's like sam bennett was in kingston, but imo the best hitter in the league. he hurts kids. as far as the next level, i think many are sleeping on his offensive abilities. i see him being more of a point producer at the next level...call me crazy but i just can't see how he wouldn't be. he drives our offense and even when he's not on the scoresheet, he's all over the ice creating. some say his skating needs improvement, and i'd agree last year, but whatever he did in the offseason worked because it is definitely not a liability anymore.

like i said earlier, he could be the sleeper of the draft if he goes where he is projected. but for those of us that see him all the time, we wouldn't be surprised if he went higher. selfishly hoping he goes to the Habs or the Flames.

If the habs draft around 10th seeing how he’s developing he would probably be one of the best option. I would be pretty happy with the pick.

100% agree. but also, chase reid is going to be a monster next year. i wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a 1st rounder as well and possibly one of the first defencmen drafted next year. This kid has everything as well...size, speed, iq, shot....we are lucky to watch him every night too.

Really like Martin, more so than Martone who's been mentioned in this thread. Do I think he's drafted ahead of him, no, but the point remains.

Martin will have a Robert Thomas like impact on some franchise. He's fantastic in all aspects, IMO.
