He has a unsurprisingly phenomenal year and has been lights out at the OHL cup. Top-3 talent for this OHL draft class.

So you thinking Rooebroeck/Schaefer/Martin assuming Moore goes the US route? Of course understanding the machinations of the OHL don’t ensure the top talents go in order.

Yeah - at this point I’d say any of those 3 could go first overall.

Moore would be in this tier but he‘ll accept the NTDP invite.

That’d be my top 3.

Looks to be going 3rd overall to the Soo.

Question is, does he report? Or try to force a trade?

Martin deserves a bump. #15 in McKeen's latest rankings and more and more I'm seeing him in that top 15-20 range. His counting stats are hovering around PPG which doesn't seem amazing, but Soo are a tremendously low scoring team and he leads them as a 17 year-old. And by all accounts he does everything else a coach wants on the ice even when not scoring.

In a draft year that is looking pretty soft after the first 7-8 names, I think you are looking at a kid who may not have the physical traits to get into the top 10 - but seems like a very sturdy bet to be in that mid-1st range.

Anybody with some more recent scouting reports of his play in the OHL this season?

Martin with 2 goals again last night. Used Dickinson as a screen on first goal. Named game second star. Dale Hunter secured his 993 win as head coach. As London blew SSM out 7-3.

Martin only player 'hounds really had. If he was on the Knights be 1.5ppg player. London a good team. He's moving up in draft rankings.
Martin isn’t even outplaying a 2026 eligible. I think you’re overdoing the praise.

Brady Martin is the third best player in Ontario.
Who are your top 3?

Misa/Schaefer/Martin.

I just love how undisciplined Martin plays, always making smart plays, super unselfish, and is willing to do literally anything to help his team. All the tools are there to be a top-6 player in the NHL. Numbers don’t tell the whole story with Martin. He’s a stud. Similar to Bo Horvat in his draft season.

I'm thinking that you really mean 3rd best OHL player for this upcoming draft right?

I think he might be the 4th or 5th OHL player selected in this draft.

I love Martin but it would be really ballsy for any team to pick him before Martone and then some teams might prefer O'Brien, myself I love Martin and if the canucks keep their first rounder he is the guy I'm hoping they can snag.

I’m personally not that big of a fan of Martone, he’s a top 10 prospect but I think I’d have Martin/Hagens/Schaefer/Desnoyers/Misa/Mrtka/Smith/Frondell/Eklund ahead right now then he’s in that next tier for me. I just get visions of Lawson Crouse from Martone, he’ll be a solid pro, but not a guy you can build around like I think Martin will be. He just makes too many questionable decisions on the ice and can be a detriment to his team at times
