A fast, technical player with a high IQ. Able to quickly outrun defensemen. I ranked him in the third round last season (short-handed goal). I think he will improve in the new season. He looks great at the Proryv tournament that is currently taking place. He, Privalov and Katsuro are the leading scorers for the CSKA team (other teams have more productive players, but they are less studied).
Today's goal.

At the moment, Yakushevsky leads the list of scorers of the Moscow championship-2009 by a significant margin.
He also looks great at the youth teams tournament taking place in Belarus these days. In today's game, thanks to Yakushevsky's goal+assist, the Russian team won against the Belarusian team, made up of players two years older.

Do Privalov, Katsuro and Yakushevsky play on the same line? Are any of them centers? I see Katsuro's U16 stats are far behind the other two, seemingly not very impressive.

Would any of them rank as high as Skvortsov, who is seemingly torching the level above (U18)? I do not know how the divisions are divided or strength of youth teams (I assume CSKA is harder to play up in higher levels due to competition).

I've only seen them on three different lines - Privalov 1C, Katsuro 2RW, Yakushevsky 3RW for the U16 team. Privalov is the only one I've seen play center, seems like he could rival Skvortsov as the top of the 2009 birthdays, especially considering the size. Both looked excellent for Russia U16 at the Presidents Cup that just concluded, though I favor Skvortsov.

Also, Yakushevsky looked quite interesting in today's game vs. Belarus U18. Played on Skvortsov's line and there was a lot of chemistry between them and Dmitri Savin.
