He plays outclassed so the question doesn't really arise. He is the youngest player in the league. He makes a better bantam/midget transition than Rozzi with a year younger.

Quebec rather suffered from small, dominant players who did not manage to exist in the higher categories because of their physique (Simoneau, Parent were better than Lafreniere but also Verreault, Côté, Poirier).

A bit surprised considering he likely would have been the heavy favourite to go #1 based on skills and not only because he would be a year younger.
The article says he will play another year In that league, but you have to think they will explore all options regarding prep school etc as well.

By all accounts, he's considerably better than Veleno at this stage (who likely did not warrant ES if we're being honest)

With Dupont out west potentially applying he could have been in competition to get it, I can't see HC giving 2 in one year.
one thing HC will look at though is if he does not get ES then he could potentially go USA for next year to NCAA route when the QMJHL could have had him.

3rd in goals and 4th in pts in u18aaa as a 14 year old.

This guy's is going to decimate the league if he returns. Probably the most deserving of ES out of Quebec in recent memory - it's too bad he won't apply.

For reference - Veleno finished 12th in pts and 30th in goals as a 14 year old.

Best prospect in this region since Mackinnon? Is he at a level close to Mack at the same age or something closer to Lafreniere?

In terms of level of play, QMAAA is the strongest midget league in Canada. The gap is not huge with QMJHL. For U18 players, it's the antechamber.

Does anyone know how big his family members are? He's listed at 6'3 now and he's still only 14. What are the chances grows to 6'5 or more?

Does he have elite offensive ability or dominates because he's big?
He doesn't use his size that much. Good mind for the game, great, great hands.

Don't know if he's the elite NHL prospect he's sold to be yet, but looks like a definite first round pick at the moment I'd say.

He's a player with a ton of room to mature in his game still.
