He is not playing for Budejovice but for Hradec. And he will have his men's debut today which will make him sixth youngest player to play in Czech Extraliga.

Scored his first Extraleague goal today, as a 15yrs old.

I am not sure how much space he Is going to get in Hradec, but still an interesting prospect for 2026, even considering his more then a PPG performance in U20 League So far (on the similar pace as Benák and we all know how good he looks)

Yes, of course, I've already fixed it. Previously, the Mountfield club was based in Budejovice, which is why it got mixed up.

He is currently the best sniper in the junior league, being the second youngest player in it.
Nominated to the '06 (U18) national team for the tournament in Switzerland.

2+2 today and overall 25+16(41pts) in 29games. Still as a fresh 16yrs old playing with kids mostly 2-3 years older. I know that Czech U20 is not a definition of super quality, but still impressive.

I hope he gets some serious ELH time next season.

1+2 today. 4 goals in 6 games for u18.
It was not possible to find detailed rosters for all teams, but it appears that Novotny is the only one at the Plymouth tournament heading into the '26 draft.

He will not be able to compete in the u18-championship because at the end of the season in Extraliga juniorů he will have planned shoulder surgery. :(

Any chance he comes to the OHL next season?
I would guess – and this is only a guess – he’s 100%. That agency sends pretty much all their top Czech prospects to the CHL every year and if he wasn’t a lock I don’t think he’d have gone that early.

Probably not yet. Hradec Králové counts on him in the lineup. It will probably be the case that if he was not satisfied with the workload, then he would want to leave.
