We basically goalies them last night lol. Deserve to win meter and shots on goal does not tell a pretty story.

Purely from an eye test, it was a back and forth game. Felt like we controlled the 1st period more, they controlled the 2nd period and pushed back in the 3rd pretty hard to try to tie it at 1-1. Both teams had some really good chances, but other than Stamkos' goal, nobody could score. Both goalies, the one we paid and the one we didn't, played great. On the memorable chances, we had some open nets that we just flubbed. (Need to go back to using sticks instead of pool noodles.) Going the other way, we hemorrhaged breakaways and odd man rushes but the Juice Bag stood on his head and shut it all down. There were some stretches you could say that the Nucks looked a bit gassed, so maybe giving them all those breakaway speed skating events was a bit of bag skating for their back-to-back. It was a very even game overall. Stamkos' laser beam from a bit of tic-tac-toe off a rush was the difference.
