Happy to be up one, but the amount of tunrovers is glaring. UPL will have to stand on his head if this continues. Geez. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.

I thought Buffalo controlled play overall but was badly bitten by defensive zone giveaways and 3 (?) beaten icings. Outside of those fumbles Vancouver generated almost nothing.

I suppose if there are going to be 2 forwards to get shots on goal in a period, 75% of them coming off Thompson's stick is probably workable.

A lot of sloppy choppy hockey in the first period. Goal came from two guys playing smart. Benson is a hockey genius and Byram understands when to rush the net. And that was about the only good play aside from some decent Joker shots from the point and Quinn giving a high effort

That's ... an ugly stat. (Not the Thompson part, the "only 2 forwards got shots" part).

Interesting Duff and Marty's take on Bryson having a good period. Thought he got into trouble a few times in the D zone and the play breaking up the 2 on 1 was a lone highlight.

Overall, the sabres turned the puck over way too much.

I think he is comfortable with Kulich as his center. The chemistry will grow the more they play together
Someone asked why McLeod is stuck with Beck and Lafferty. It’s because Quinn looks like ten times the player with Kulich.

Of course, I’d move Cozens to wing and move McLeod up. Putting Krebs back where he belongs on line 4. But that’s none of my business.

Might be praising him because of that sliding stop. If a defenseman is off his feet, it's desperation time. But it was how they fumbled their way to that is worth pointing out and that was both him and Cliffy struggling.

You’re only ever going to get surface level analysis on tv. They allowed zero goals so they’re not going to go looking for all the mistakes. We had that shutout last week and Joker was so bad that game…and they wouldn’t say a peep.
