Exit Interviews

Optimal steps after this:
> Nashville fires Trotz as GM
> We hire Trotz as a proper coach
(Bonus) > Nashville hires Cronin as GM
GM cronins first moves: trades 2026 first for Trouba, Strome and 2026 2nd. Drafts Mrtka #3 overall. Hires Brad May as head coach.
Signs goalie Fleury to 10m aav 20mil 2 year deal to avoid retirement cause Veteran leadership. Signs washed up UFA grinders to play in the top6 for Nashville.

Has Gudas even spoke? He’s the captain of this team and we haven’t heard a single word from him to the media since the season ended.

I definitely think he was part of the “coalition” that went to Verbeek and let him know it was time to move on from Cronin.

But this is Bizarre-o that he still hasn’t spoke 6 days after the season ended

Haven’t had a chance to listen but Leo LaCombe Cutter Zell and McT are on this episode. Seems like it was recorded after the season. Likely more of a puff piece than anything juicy

They had some of the young guys (Carlsson, LaCombe, McTavish, Zellweger, Gauthier) talk on the first day of exit interviews, then Cronin got fired and nobody has been publicly interviewed since. I’m guessing management doesn’t want them to be asked questions about it.

I actually think that might be to the players' benefit if they all hated him that much. The media is going to ask about Cronin, and then they have three options: 1. Meaningless platitudes, 2. Lie and say he was good, 3. Tell the truth that he was terrible. I doubt many players really want to drag the guy's name through the mud, so option 3 is bad for all parties. Option 2 is rough for a lot of players. Option 1 is the best, but it's awkward and dumb and almost as bad as option 2.

So the gag order is probably a blessing for some guys.
