Laine on the first line? Wow. Looking forward to see what he can do. He was completely invisible vs the Canadian defense in the iihf so this will be interesting.
 
Not expecting a ton of chemistry in the first game but it would be nice to see the PP rolling from the start.

He played RW there.

Checking through some highlight videos I made, he had over twice as many chances while he was on the left side than when he was on the right side. The eye test also showed that he became a significantly better player on the left side.

If we assume that while playing as the right wing he was on the right side about 5 times as much as he was on the left side, his play time to highlight play ratio was higher than 10:1 when on the left in comparison to right.

So true!
He definitely had some solid chances against Canada. Yes, he did not score, but that does not mean he was invisible.

FIN takes it today 5-3.
 
Hope I don't get called into work because I really want to watch this game even if it is a tune up game.

I'll say Sweden takes it 4-3, the Swedish p.p making the difference.
 
@Finns, just to check you can only see the game on Nelonen and not Ruutu? So as a man without a TV I'm pretty much boned?

4-1 Sweden we let them win so we can smash them in the proper games. Ristolainen with the only goal with a beauty of a slapper.

I can't not watch this as a Canucks fan, Sweden has 4/6 of our players in the World Cup and our only other two Sbisa and Hansen will be on Team Europe..

Honestly I'll probably watch the Team Europe vs North America just to see the young stars run around Sbisa. :laugh:
 
I have a feeling that Sweden loses this one, but start to catch fire a little later in the tournament.

No but I'm watching it online through ESPN streaming on their website, the team North America game later on is on ESPN 2 I believe though.
