"We got two good goalies." Oh you, Marjamaki.

The preview lines are off in the regard that Aho will replace Teravainen.

It really sounded like Marjamäki doesn't think very highly of Koskinen.

I feel bad that Koskinen didn't get a chance in these exhibition games. He was amazing in world champs last year, and only reason why Canada beat Finland only 2-0 in final.

Yeah and it's not like it's even possible for him to play that badly because he's like 3 meters tall so he practically just needs to get on his knees and he saves like 90% of the shots

It's needless to say that USA is the favorite player material wise and then there's the fact that each prep game between any teams have been won by the home crowd team so far. All 8-9 of them.

So interesting to see if Finland can upset them despite of all that.

Uh...the roster of USA looks much better.

But Finland has the best (national) team game in pro sports, so this will probably be a tight game.

My guess.

3-2 USA.

Agreed on roster comparison and Finland's team game. Finns are the underdog but a win wouldn't surprise anyone.

As a Finn I have a bad feeling about this game.
I don't think they are at their best in this game after just flying there.

Good point. The US might also have a harder time getting fired up against the Finns after battling against CAN. But they'll want to get back to winning ways, one'd assume.

Look at it this way. If the game is a close one, you know that your guys will perform much better when they manage to adapt to time difference, jet-lag etc.

Finns almost never get blown out. You guys have too much heart and national pride for that to happen. :)

Sweden on the other hand...

USA is actually one of the only ones that has done that to Finland in the past (blow out), but it has also gone the other way like in Sochi bronze match.

i have a vision that usa dominates the game but rinne keeps finland alive and gets usa frustrated and finland scores on powerplays and takes the game to overtime where laine scores an controversial goal with hand and takes the victory to finland. 2-3 ot.

Laine is Maradona now?

Nevertheless, even though the games are meaningless I'd like to see Laine having some tangible success as that would help with his confidence.
