Ekblad and Bellemare were my favourites tonight. I give an edge to Matthews and Larkin aswell, fun players to watch. Overall, fun game.

North America is fun to watch.

I selfishly hope Parayko did enough to earn some ice time in the actual tournament, but you can't really go wrong with Ekblad, Trouba, or Jones either. Should be a very fun tournament. I had my doubts that we'd see good hockey, but even the pre-tournament games have been exciting so I'm sure the tournament will be fun.

Chara gave him a few good body checks, he was kept in check today, eichel his linemate do not mix at all

On the ice for half the goals scored, none against, not too shabby. They were never pinned in their zone, which was great to see.

I think Matthews was Team NA's best forward tonight. Very strong with the puck and created a lot of his own plays. McDavid didn't look all that great tonight, maybe put Scheifele back on his line instead of Eichel.

Exciting. Lots of ups and downs as expected for youngsters.

Reilly-Ekblad were solid. Parayko was a stud on the PK.

Up front, Nuge played awesome. Matthews, Scheifele, Larkin, and MacKinnon looked great as well.

I can say that is the complete set line for the future. Larkin needs to be moved up.

McDavid was invisible.

Saad was rather invisible too. I don't think Eichel did much.


Gaudreau was pretty bad with McDavid but when he wasn't with McDavid he destroyed.


Apart from that, Matthews was good overall and likely the best player on his line, Nuge-MacK-Drouin was great, the 4th line was pretty bad apart from Larkin.


Larkin and Scheifele with McDavid would be what I'd try.
