I think he got nervous when he realized it was Tavares and Thornton running him because if those two usually softer players are paying special attention to him, he knows what the big boys like Weber and Burns could do to him in the right situation..

Dubinsky is here just to mess with Crosby. Buff wasnt terrible. The rest were useless. Id rather take Kessels lazy ass who will atleast net a goal or two once in a while.

Might as well scratch him if Crosby isn't playing, he's useless. Byfuglien over pinch too many times he need to play D better. Playing like an extra forward isn't helping this team.

The better team won tonight but the US for most of the game played a lot better 5 on 5 than they did last night. Schneider was rusty. Hope he plays some on Tuesday to shake the rust off. A couple of Canada's goals were bad luck for the US. One goes off a skate and the other Suter fell down. They got a break on the McDonagh goal though. They looked like they got tired late and it made the shot differential look worse than it should have been. All in all the US was better than last night. Hopefully JVR stays in the lineup now

Torts is clearly thinking that the only way to win against Canada is to play the up the rat element - Kesler, Abdelkader, etc. Hack a Shaq ain't gonna work against this group though.

The only way the USA wins is if they get a Hasek like performance in goal. Beyond that, this is really no contest.

You never see Torts punishing Dubinsky or telling him off. He throws a cheap shot, heads to the bench, goes out and throws another cheapshot. Doesn't matter if he takes a stupid penalty doing it, Tortz turns a blind eye. Dubinsky is given free reign to do whatever he wants

He's not the type to typically take the extra shot at somebody (over the last 5 years as I'm well aware of how meaner he was earlier in his career). He average 30-40 PIMs these days, which remains a far cry from his days as a 100+ PIM player.
