Andrew Raycroft is now a goaltending coach for UConn. He'll teach the backups how to take a nap on the bench during games.

I wonder if he makes the team call him Razor instead of coach.
I'm just going to say this and get it off my chest once and for all. The Grigori Panteleev era in Boston was far too short. That is all...
Imagine jack trying to pronounce that one
I still miss Michael Ryder at times

I was going to say the same thing about Mike Moffat.
Yep. Love Moffat during that playoff run back in 82. He looked like the next great one. Until he went a little nuts.
Mike Moffat
Blaine Lacher
Jim Carey
Hannu Toivonen
Razor
The list goes on and on for goalies who showed incredible promise only to flame out hard here...![]()
You left out Pete Peeters.

I'm sure I left out a lot of guys that fit the criteria. I don't think I'd include Peeters on that list because he had a couple of good years here, but I could see an argument why he should be on it. I just grabbed the most obvious ones off the top of my head.
agree with most of your list but Carey was already showing he was a one hit wonder before we got him I think.
eh, opinion. He had one great year, won the vezina and promptly **** the bed.
He was. I included him because he had won a Vezina before he got here, and then flat out sucked...![]()
I'm going to take a step forward and say thank you, Manny Fernandez. If it wasn't for you, we may never had celebrated a Stanley Cup championship.
And I would also like to point out the "Crap, he actually played for us?" Line (of my lifetime):
Krzysztof Oliwa - Ivan Huml - Michal Grosek
Brad Isbister - Dan McGillis
Some of these guys aren't exactly household names...but still. Man, I will always love the name Krzysztof Oliwa.![]()
I was at a party shortly after they traded for him and someone asked my what I thought of Jim Carrey.
I went on a 7 minute dissertation about the Vezina Trophy and how he fell out of favor in Washington, but hopefully he can regain form in Boston, local kid, etc., etc.
Yep you guessed it...a room full of people staring at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears....she was asking about an actor!![]()
