22 goals now.

While I appreciate the fact that he has 22 goals, there was no posting about Jake when he took the month of February off. He is an inconsistent player and while those 22 goals would look good on the Bs, it's probably not transferable. He needed a change and got signed to an all too long 7 year deal IMO.

Frederic eager to play for the Oilers.

from sportsnet.ca:

It’s a logjam on left wing in Edmonton these days, but everyone knows there will be a spot for Trent Frederic as soon as his wonky ankle allows him to join the Edmonton Oilers lineup.

How soon until he can start skating?

“I've asked that question and got a lot of different answers. Whenever they let me, I’ll be skating,” he said Thursday, as Frederic met the Edmonton media for the first time. “I’m just taking it day by day, and each day I think it's (coming) sooner and sooner. So that's a good thing.”

The Oilers were vague on Frederic’s availability: “He’s going to be a little while,” said head coach Kris Knoblauch.

Whatever that means.

Frederic arrives in a deadline-week trade from the Boston Bruins alongside left winger Max Jones, who will play on the Edmonton Oilers fourth line Thursday night, as a light and not-very-physical Oilers team tries to beef up for a playoff run.

Both wingers are 27 years old, six-foot-three and better than 215 pounds. The Oilers are the oldest team in the National Hockey League and dead last in hits.

It seems like the perfect match.

And? Nobody is commenting about how the Bruins could use his 22 goals (they probably could but this team is so broken and having Jake wouldn't help). Players are inconsistent. This thread updates when it updates. It updated when he had no goals. And when he and others do.

And if Vancouver gets in the playoffs, he'll do what he's always done. Score and contribute. He's where he's supposed to be. Do I think 7 years is too long, yes. But every player is signing long term deals.
And his number was less than what many people were thinking he was gonna get.

Vancouver is happy with him. And we're watching a soulless concubine of a Bruins team. It is what it is.

We should wish all our Ex players well. Hence why this thread exists. To show how they're doing.
