And Monty coached the Blues to a 6-2 victory over Anaheim. They have almost the exact same record as the Bruins, ironically

I had such high hopes for Bjork and remember being worried he’d stay 4 years at ND and go UFA.

I can only think it was the injuries that did him in as he looked so promising early on.

Suddenly the streaky DeBrusk (3g,3a,-4 in the past month) is not getting as much press on these boards. I like Jake as a player but he was determined to try something different and landed a nice contract in Vancouver. Could the Bs use his scoring? Sure, but it comes in fits and starts and people need to realize that. He'll go on another run in February and all the doom and gloom folks will perk up again.

Nick Foligno with his 11th goal of the season tonight ....and leadership...why did we let him go again?
People here hated him. Go read 21-22

He was playing injured but he was trashed big time along with Sweeney for signing him

If Wally gives me thumbs up I’ll go pull the most viscous posts I know who and where to find

It's bothersome that there are so many posters who mention Jake DeBrusk's father as having some sort of helicopter parent influence over his son's career despite there never having been a single report that Louie DeBrusk has ever been (or tried to be) that kind of influence.

I've never seen any helicopter parent allegations, only everyone pointing out that whenever his dad was in the building either to work the game as commentator or in the stands to watch, Jake actually busted his ass on those nights instead of floating.

I think he's a sensitive kid who wants to impress his family and loved ones but lacks motivation when no one's around to watch him.

Agreed. Others like to make shit up out of whole cloth with no evidence, as if Louie was Teddy Donato calling up Sweeney to tell him where he thinks Ryan should be playing, or Dougie Hamilton's parents sticking their noses into contract talks.

If it will make you feel better, read my post without the "(and his father)" part and tell me where I've said anything that isn't accurate. I'd be willing to remove it if you think the rest is acceptable.

I think it is rather obvious the only thing I objected to was the "and his father" part.

I have to say it always makes me smile when I read that Danton Heinen was credited with a hit. It's hard for me to think of him pitching into someone although I know he's not afraid to go into the dirty areas.

He's got 17 goals right now. He's having a career season. The Bruins miss his speed and miss him on the powerplay.

And chemistry wise, there's a case to be made they miss him there too.

But once again, they Bruins failed to sign a guy who wanted to be here and not for the money many people on here predicted he was asking for. And then after letting him go, they don't go out and try to replace him and the speed they lost. And guess what? It shows.

Which is why Lysell should be up here. This is the season to experiment and see our young kids. Instead it's the Vinni Letteri experiment part deux.
