Rumor: Everything JT Miller | Elias Pettersson trade Thread

They’re not trading one of them because they want to.

...nope, however they are both still exceptional players and every GM in the League knows it, including the Canucks GM...he isn't giving one of them away...it might not be dollar for dollar, but it certainly won't be for wooden nickels either...

And one of them is 32 with a long contract. Horvat has already been traded due to this rift.

What kind of made up bullshit is this? Horvat was never traded due to a rift :biglaugh:

The original rift was Horvat and Miller. This was as Benning was exiting. Now there was no rift? Sure. I seem to recall Canucks not wanting Miller during this timeline too. Regarding Horvat, the cap was finite and they ended up keeping Miller.

They offered Horvat a contract, he didn’t accept. They offered Miller a contract, he accepted. In fact, I seem to remember them going back to Horvat after they re-signed Miller, but by that point Bo was on pace for 50 goals and they were to far apart on a contract so they moved him. He wasn’t moved because of a rift.

No, there wasn’t. Horvat was traded due to contract negotiations

Girard isn’t better than Hronek.
Eh they are probably close. If you put Girard with Hughes I'd be curious to see his numbers. Girard plays with Manson. I think Hronek is better offensively and Girard a little better defensively.

At his best Hronek is better. Girard may be more consistent though and without the injury issues
