Rumor: Everything JT Miller | Elias Pettersson trade Thread | Part 409

Better player quite easily over their entire careers is nothing now? That’s new to me
The trade isn't acquiring Petterson from 3 years ago.

Thompson i believe is playing through an injury and Pettersson is playing through the trade rumours, locker room distraction, whatever you want to call it..

Pettersson gets dealt, or Miller (or both, but he's in a better situation for himself) and maybe he'll get back to how he was, but right now you take Thompson.

Took this year's projection and the previous 3 seasons.

Thompson averaged 71 points
Pettersson averaged 80 points

The difference between contracts is closer to 4.5

Can't imagine anyone takes a player who produces 9 more points a season for 4.5 mill extra.

LOL
Injury excuses

I have been thinking that IF a Canucks/Bruins trade was going to happen, both teams would be sending guys down for cap purposes and then pulling the trigger AFTER the Mom's trip. On the main board I suggested any movement would start Sunday. Both teams send players to waivers today...

Is this step one?
