Everything about Cousins is so hateable.

Id like to see the Panthers win the Cup if(when) Detroit gets knocked out but the thought of cheering for a team Cousins plays for makes me sad

Oskar Sundqvist got fined for this today too, but I only know him from getting knocked out by Tom Wilson so I don't care

next will be a suspension.

Looks like next would be a $3K fine. I don't see anything about suspensions any more in the rule book, but there is some arcane memo mentioned that I haven't found with a cursory search.

When Cousins is done playing in the NHL, the team is going to offer him a cushy retirement job as the man inside the Viktor E. Rat costume.

There is a superhero origin story where he's been bitten by the radioactive Viktor E. Rat and thus transforms into what we are now seeing.

I usually don’t condone this - but in this case it’s perfectly acceptable.

Who ever plays the panthers first round need to dress an AHL goon for game one. First shift cousins is on the ice take him out for the playoffs/series. Knee on knee, dropping gloves and pummelling him until he’s loses teeth/concussed.

Whatever. It’s all good in this case. It’s actually protecting the other players on the ice.

AHL goon gets rewarded by the team off the ice with funds - gets a huge suspension likely and never sees the ice again.

If cousins draws back in on a later series - rinse and repeat with new team.

I know it’s a laughable fine to us fans but if most of us got fined $2000 by our jobs for taking a dive while at work we’d be looking for new jobs.

Fortunately guys like Nick Cousins are millionaires and shit disturbers so I don’t feel too bad about laughing at that
