Minnesota doesn’t have Joe Veleno and I’m passing on that for Bo Horvat.

Hes the Raty to Beauvillier's Veleno

Isles pass on every deal you’ve posted. Offering picks and cap dumps with term (on LTIR) with mid level prospects just doesn’t do it. They go into a 5+ year rebuild with no younger veterans on the roster.Shai Buium.

Barzal and Dobson are 30+. Man does time fly. You’re essentially trying to piece the isles off for garbage cap hits, mid-late 1sts and in some cases mid-low tier prospects. Teams have given up more for rentals of lower end players at the trade deadline. The entire team as constructed should burn everything to the ground and only leave their one viable prospect standing in Cole Eiserman, yes.
Thats the idea. Maximize value by adding a few 3 yr cap dumps while you burn it all down yup.
No one is giving back 23 yr old blossoming players for that slew of 30+ players sorry.

First isles fans hate on Tavares even though isles management built the worst roster around him and he still made matt moulson look like a legit nhl player
The problem is that you’re having the Isles take on just picks for most of the deals and the cap dump (which is on LTIR). Thus essentially creating massive holes in the roster that would make the team ECHL tier (for atleast 5 seasons) aand knowing how the draft lottery goes they’d be terrible and still only get the 4th overall pick. Having a boatload of picks is great but if they can’t develop properly you’re left with a bunch of draft busts. Two out of the 9 I sold off are under 29 yes sorry.
Barzal I traded for four 1sts and no cap dumps, only because Hawks could actually do that tomorrow.
Cizikas and Dobson 6.5m = Krug 6.5m
Pelech and Pulock 11.9m = Price 10.5m
Sorokin 8.25m = Ellis and Fedotov 9.775m
Salary had to be swapped somehow and those teams are not going to want to give up actual NHL salaries sorry.
You could demand a Jimmy Snuggerud, Oliver Bonk, Logan Maillioux, ect from these teams all you want but those prospects never get traded.
Beauvillier, Raty and a 1st type packages are more likely.
Burn it to the ground, use all those picks at the draft to restock every position.
Umm, not sure you understand what a full rebuild is, cause SJ is doing it right. Tear it down to the ground, burn the remains and piss on the ashes. Lottery picks are what a rebuild is about, only way to get the Celebrini's of the worldYou need stability in certain positions/roles in order to properly conduct a rebuild.
Look at San Jose as an example of what NOT to do…
A 7pm EST puck drop tonight.Is Barzal actually/potentially available?
What's it taking to bring him to Columbus?
He also has a 22 team No Trade list.A 7pm EST puck drop tonight.

That too. Columbus isn’t too bad of a place to live though from all my trips out there. Dublin is a nice town that’s similar to the rich towns on the Island. He also has a 22 team No Trade list.
The issue comes with this. By your theory, the Isles move out everyone who’s higher end on the roster and get 4-5 1st round picks the next 2 drafts combined. All of those 1st rounders are in the mid-late 20s. Developing them with absolutely no veteran high end talent to surround these players is an absolute disaster and doesn’t go well. Then you add in the roster garbage like Ellis and Krug just eats up cap space that can be used to help actually make the team better. My thinking is this.
If its a slow teardown.. Sorokin, Barzal, Horvat ect all keep the team in the purgatory mushy middle where you'll draft 10th overall lottery luck be damned..
Start of the season, every team up against the cap, will require taking bad players and bad deals..
You can demand Snuggerud's Bonk's Maillioux's (my own projection of asks as examples) and make it harder and longer to find partners or just draft them yourselves (#22, #23, #31 for reference)..
You can avoid the LTIR cases and try to finagle 5m Farabee types into the equation instead lowering your value recieved..
Or you can full blown blow it up, be the first to market with your players, and accept your fate as a dumping ground.
Lets say Eiserman signs at years end. Krug's 6.5m expires at the same time Eiserman starts his 2nd contract. Thats the type of timing that can make or break the future.
Spend it on a UFA to fill a gap and bridge him.
Or
Give him the 7x7 everyone else seems to get.
Hopefully Isles would have 10 Eiserman's at that time with this years blowup.
Hopefully they'd draft 4th overall instead of 10th this June.
The boatload of picks would only start playing their 1st NHL games when Price's 10.5 expires for example. Maybe sign that years Chandler Stephenson as a vet when the time comes.
I wish. He is buddies with KJ and Christiansen, but he's also a big baby who wants to pretend he's hot shit in NYC and he can't have that in Columbus. If he was settled down and starting a family, sure. But he's not.Is Barzal actually/potentially available?
