Everyone just Breathe

Dallas also looked like shit in all 3 of their losses to the Avs in round 1, losing by 3 goals once and 4 goals twice. Each time they bounced back. While in game resilience is required, much more important in a playoff run is game to game resiliency. Can a team bounce back from losses and so far we have been able to do that.
After that game 7 against the Blues how can anyone just say the Jets are done with a series that is 2-1 right now.

Sure, they’re only down 2 games to 1.

The only problem is this team has proven to be incapable of winning on the road in these playoffs. It’s not only that they can’t win on the road that’s the problem, it’s being vastly outplayed and out scored 22-7 in those games.

Think we’re about to see the thin glimmer of hope extinguished.

All I can say, is if we win tonight, it’s “game on” and it’s anybodies series. We lose tonight, and likely we lose the series.

Let’s hope the Jets can pull out a win in Dallas. Will be a hard fought game.

We played game 3 very close to even, and the refs absolutely imploded not once but twice, and one of them (the kicking motion) was a fluke and a half to even have happen. I'm not inclined to view this as a team that simply can't win a game in Dallas.

I think coaching is important factor when it comes to success on the road.. right now arniel seems to out of his league. The fact the jets go into a major tail spin every time things go bad is unacceptable.. how hard is it for these guys to just lock in and play hockey.. they look like thier under a trance sometimes.. they need to attack attack attack every time they have the puck instead of playing scared.. its like they try to so hard to make the perfect play that they end up overthinking shit and making a sloppy turnover or miss reading a situation

One of my favourite songs, relevant for the mood and of course relevant for this thread:

Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable,
and life's like an hourglass glued to the table.
No one can find the rewind button, boys,
So cradle your head in your hands,

and breathe,
just breathe.
Oh, breathe,
just breathe.

And as always, remember: the universe is unfolding exactly as it means to.

(Bonus marks if you can figure out what the two censored words are in the second verse without looking them up!)

Pretty tough to coach when your goalie is leaking goals and your bottom 9 couldn’t score on an empty net!

Our bottom pair is a definite weak point, and you just can't shelter them on the road like you can at home.

Be honest: up until the very end of the second period of game 3, when it was tied 2-2 and right before Marchment got a mysterious No Punishment for striking the ref with his stick while complaining about a call, did you not think the game was pretty evenly played? That we had chances and that being tied going into the third was a good result for a road team?

When airplanes fail, their crashes are spectacular, gory, and attention-getting. But that doesn't change the fact that airplanes are by *any metric imaginable* the safest way to travel. It's just that the optics of their failures make them look worse than they are.

Similar to our road losses, and CERTAINLY similar to game 3. Yikes.
